Though far from being an independent retail concept, the Apple retail stores around the country are now offering “technology introduction/education” for children.  Teachers can make appointments with their local Apple store to bring young students in and try out all of Apple´s hard and software in a learning environment.  Children, according to the new website, can create projects on the spot bring existing ones and make use of the audio/video equipment in the store.

The program is open to students from kindergarten through high school in the US and Canada.  It is never too early to plant a seed, Apple, or otherwise!

The scope for educational games is enormous. The key is they bring fun into the learning environment and help break down the fear factor. It is good to see some of the big boys are developing the technique
