New Colette by Wonderwall

Colette, along with l´Eclaireur, is one of the most important retail shops in Paris. It has been around for 11 years now and has recently completed its first major renovation thanks to Masamichi Katayama and his firm, Wonderwall, which is based in Tokyo. The store looks amazing and refreshingly open and modern. I love the whole “traditional” and workman´s movement that is going on in retail design but sometimes glossy and sleak works just as well. Colette has been creating quite a buzz recently with their work in New York by partnering with Gap and the incredible art exhibit they are featuring now by Solve Sundsbo. http://www.colette.fr (check out the track from CD Balearica- Fred Deakon) Below are some pics:
