Retail Refugees

Prada has released the lookbook for its upcoming fall/winter collection and it has a decidedly more editorial look and feel.  While the contents of the book is fantastic with some really interesting visual concepts, the cover looked very reminiscent of the popular news/culture/lifestyle magazine design that we are seeing more and more these days…  Personally, I feel the design and layout is completely outdated already.  When everybody tries to be intellectual via this grid, it tends to lose some of its originality and impact.
