Retail Refugees

Travel+Leisure has announced that they will be embarking on a joint venture with Hudson News to create some airport retail outlets- beginning with Vancouver and JFK not far behind.   According to reports, the shop will  “sell products aimed at enhancing the travel experience” like luggage, clothing accessories, travel publications, and of course some magazines.  Jaunted likened the shop to “Brookstone for travel and food snobs,” and we tend to expect something similar.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for T+L to reach customers in a new way and open up the brand to a new user-experience- let´s hope that it is not simply a newstand with some T+L logos.
