Retail Refugees

Deutsche Telekoms´s new concept store will open tomorrow (according to the employee that I bumped into this morning).  It is called 4010, and is a marriage of mobile phones, tea, and lifestyle products including t-shirts from local graphic designers and music.  This is their first effort at a retail shop from a mobile phone company aimed at the increasingly powerful independent “scene” and those who reside in it like so many Berlin Mitte folks do.

The store itself looks pretty interesting and glossy so I expect the traffic to be high, even if customers are only there for the iPhones!

The store is located at the intersection of Alte Schönhauser Str. and Münzstrasse. on Weinmeisterstr.
