Big retailers are often the creators of big advertising and marketing campaigns. These virtually always involve a few big name models, a famous photographer, and some glamorous destination. Well, the British department store Harvey Nichols has chosen a different direction for its new campaign launched recently. The stars of their new ads are Wallace and Gromit! Just because their new stars are made of clay however, does not mean that they should not look fashionable. To achieve this, artists recreated a wardrobe in the style of some of the current fashions by Armani, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Ray-Ban Wayfarer, Duchamp, Christian Louboutin and Zagliani.

When developing a new direction for campaigns, retailers should work towards this new direction that is a truly original and refreshing combination or art, media, fashion, and advertising.
